About

The New Forest Edge Churches is a newly created Benefice of 5 churches dotted in and around the edge of the stunning New Forest National Park (the clue is somewhat in the name…). After recent restructuring in Winchester Diocese, and the Church of England as a whole, a number of local parishes have been split or combined to create larger single benefices. Our newly formed benefice comprises of St Mary’s Bransgore, St. Michael’s Hinton, All Saints Thorney Hill (who were previously one benefice together as the parish of Bransgore and Hinton), St John’s Burley and St Michael’s Sopley.

We are so fortunate within our benefice to have such a diversity of church buildings and worship styles. Our Sunday services span the entire day, beginning at Bransgore for an early morning Eucharist, followed by a Sung BCP Eucharist at Hinton. During the day we also have Common Worship services with Communion, a very family friendly service at St Mary’s Bransgore, with youth activities at 4:00pm. Our Sunday generally ends with our Evensong service at All Saints Thorney Hill. You are welcome to joins for any and all of our weekly services, and please do check out our events page for weekday and evening events – there are usually lots of great activities to join in, catering for all interests – from challenging yourself with the annual 3 Peaks Challenge, to quizzes, barn dances, coffee mornings and concert. There really is something for everyone!

For a small taste of what we are about here at the New Forest Edge Churches, why not check out our You Tube Channel, linked in the menu, or pop along to one of our weekly services – we’d love to see you.

Let’s build something together.
