What a brilliant night!
St Michael’s hosted the Sandleheath Concert Band who entertained and delighted by playing Christmas greats such as Stop the Cavalry and Silent Night, and of course, accompanying the congregation through all the Christmas carols. Vicar Ben provided a thoughtful and inspiring Christmas talk to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, and also treated his audience to a host of Christmas jokes, in fact there were more jokes in the service than in a bumper pack of Christmas crackers – maybe a part-time career in comedy stand-up beckons!
There is still a lot more Christmas celebrations for the Benefice of Bransgore and Hinton – so don’t worry if you haven’t had the chance to join us yet, there is still plenty of time to join the Christmas celebrations. On Sunday 11th at St Michael’s at 11 am there is the crib dressing service – a great event for the family! Then in the evening at 18.30 at All Saints, Thorney Hill there is the carol service and if you can’t make that carol service and really want to join us in singing carols and listening to Ben’s stand-up, then come to the St Mary’s carol service on the 18th December at 18.30.
We also have two coffee mornings, one on the 16th at St Michael’s at 10.30 am and one at St Mary’s on the 20th at 10 am.
