As a benefice we have been blessed this Christmas with family and friends to sing carols with, we have attended Christmas events put on at all three churches, and of course, come Christmas Day we will be safe with our loved ones celebrating the birth of Christ – a lot of us will spend Christmas day with our children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
We only have to switch on the news to see that for some families, this Christmas will be a time of hardship, fear, loss and sadness. Syria has been prominent in the news, with the innocent people of Aleppo in particular suffering in the civil war.
Stu and Ali from St Mary’s church are going to hold a coffee morning in aid of UNICEF. The proceeds will go towards buying blankets for the children caught in the conflict who have been displaced.
Please come and support this event – it would be great if people from all three churches of benefice could come together to support this worthy cause. It will also be a great opportunity to meet new people, and there will also be a raffle with prizes to raise money too!
The details are:
10.00 – 12.00 on Thursday 22nd December
Entry £4 – includes coffee and mince pies
20 Pear Tree Close, Bransgore
Please do come and join us for a morning of fellowship, friendship and supporting a good cause! Let’s make a difference this Christmas and help children who really need us. Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday!
