Well, here is the answer to the quiz question (some people have asked me when I’ve been out and about)….
The cinematographer was Arthur Edeson (1891-1970) who worked on approximately 135 films, and his two famous films which he worked on were All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) and Casablanca (1942). Edeson was also well known for his work on James Whale’s films, such as Frankenstein (1931), The Three Musketeers (1921) and Robin Hood (1922).
Well done to all those who got it right!
