This weekend a church youth group known as The Friday Group camped inside St Mary’s church from Friday to Sunday – they defied the British weather and had a great time! The Friday Group is made up of children from year 9 at school to those at college (age 14-18). The youth group is made-up of three different churches – St Wilfreds from Cowplain, St James from Clanfield and All Saints from Catherington.
The youth group have just completed the Youth Alpha course and have spent the weekend being taught about how to apply their faith on a daily basis. The weekend focussed on worship, prayer, devotional time and of course lots of fun in the New Forest, (such as a scavenger hunt in Burley). The group also came to the service at St Mary’s and it was great to have them join us.
