The the sun was shining and the doors and windows were open as the congregation gathered together in the resource centre at St Mary’s church, to remember the momentous moment when Christ was sacrificed. The service was informal and was attended by an array of people of all different ages with hymns sung, an Easter quiz, an engaging talk and a wonderful buffet of food and drink afterwards (with thanks to Esther Tharme for the catering). After the service there was a lot of socialising as the children played outside. The evening was finished off with admiring the most professional and wonderfully accurate parking by our very own Diana Ward (see below in the bottom right of the photo).
If you’ve ever wondered what goes on in your local church, why not come along this Sunday to the one of the services detailed on this website – people of all ages are welcome, from the very young to the young at heart. There is also the Christianity Explored course starting up soon, so if you want to find out more or ask any question in an open and informal forum, please keep an eye out for the upcoming details and come along.
