It was all hands-on-deck as a team from St Mary’s descended upon the church and the resource centre to give it a good in-depth clean. It took all day to do the deep cleaning, with all the chairs being scrubbed and the blinds being taken down and cleaned, with many other cleaning activities undertaken which involved scrubbing and hoovering. The team were kept motivated with pizza for lunch. Well done team!
So if you’re worried about the corona virus but still want to come to church on Sunday, come to St Mary’s – it’s now probably one of the cleanest buildings in Hampshire. Everybody will be asked to wash their hands in the facilities provided before entering the church. The service is at 10.30am.
