Sunday 30th August

The weather forecast looks good for our outdoor service at St Mary’s this Sunday morning at 10.30: sunny, but not too hot. Bring a folding chair if you don’t like the green ones we have already, bring some refreshments if you want to too.
If you can’t make it, here’s our online service with special thanks to Dan, Peter, Ken, Kelly, Jacob and Jonah: https://youtu.be/CohZlr74kZA

Remember that we’ve got Communion at All Saints at 4pm next Sunday and at 9.15 at St Michael’s on the 13th of Sept. You’ll need a face covering for these services.

Basics Bank

Now that schools are returning, we’ll be winding up the work of our basics bank. Thank you very much for all of your generosity towards this great cause. As I’ve already said, we’ve been providing around 400 meals a week to families whose children normally receive free school meals. We’ll be keeping some of the stock for a few months in case we need to resume the work of the basics bank, everything else will be delivered to the New Forest Basics Bank in Lymington which we have been supporting for some time. As vicar, I’m able to refer local families to the New Forest Basics Bank. I want to take this opportunity to thank Rosalind and Peter who have given up their time on Monday mornings over the last few months to help sort the supplies into deliveries. Thank you. Thanks too to the handful of people who made a real commitment to providing supplies every week, whether in large or small amounts: it made such a great difference!
