On a chilly December night, the churches of St Michael’s of Hinton and All Saints of Thorney Hill held their carol services.

It was standing room only at All Saints. The candlelit service always provides the perfect atmosphere for beautiful carols, uplifting singing and reflection on the Nine Lessons.

Following on from the All Saints service was St Michael’s, which was again joined by the Sandleheath band. The service was intertwined with carols, readings, (some very dodgy) jokes by the vicar, and of course, some great brass Christmas music.

Both services treated the congregation to wine and sweet treats afterwards. And of course, an interesting, entertaining, thoughtful and engaging talk was provided by the Reverend at each service.
